The Great Ethically Handmade Giveaway!

October is Fair Trade Month and to kick it off we have teamed up with 3 amazing Ethical Brands to do a social media giveaway. We're giving away this entire basket of ethically handmade goodies to one winner on Sunday, October 9th. To enter the giveaway just head over to our Instagram or Facebook page.

Here is a little bit about each of the brands we've partnered with:

Health 2 Humanity

Health2Humanity goes beyond soap. They are a movement for the development of people, sustainable hygiene, and #NoMoreDirtyHands. They believe that the purchase of everyday products can do so much more than supply big corporations. Every Health 2 Humanity purchase helps fund international vocational programs that create jobs, grant scholarships, develop skills, and improve the lives of people around the world. Through the development of these programs, they desire to see an end to global health inequality.

ColorByAmber

These are skinnies, from colorbyamber, an Eco-friendly jewelry line made here in the United States. They use 40% recycled content Eco-resin and encapsulate textures and textiles handmade by women artisans around the world. They pay fair trade wages and 10% of net profits from Full Circle pieces go back to their villages. Ultimately, they create their products with concern for end-of-use: reusability, recyclability, and safety.

rePURPOSE

rePURPOSE accessories are made out of used materials, made by refugee women, and 100% of the profits are donated to fight against human trafficking. They cut up, sew, and hot glue all of the used clothing to make awesome accessories. If they have to buy new fabric or supplies, they make sure it is ethically made and sweatshop free.

As we kick off this fun month of giveaways and Fall fashion, I have to ask....if we all have to wash ourselves and wear clothes and accessories EVERY day, why not use products that help the planet, help refugees, help third world countries, that fight human trafficking....why not?
