Why did I start this business?
Something has been on my heart lately that I want to share with you all. I've been thinking a lot about WHY I started this business. I didn't start it to gain followers on Instagram or worry about views and likes on Facebook. I started it to empower women and their families around the world and give back to US-based charities. That TRULY is what ignites my soul and inspires me to get out of bed at 5am every day to get a few hours of work in before the kids wake up.

Let's use our marketing budget to donate meals. So lately I've been digging into this and exploring why I'm not feeling as inspired. After a lot of thought I have made a decision to no longer pay for Facebook, Google, and Instagram ads and instead use our marketing budget to donate meals to Americans facing hunger. 1 in 5 children in the United States faces hunger and we want to change this statistic. I believe that changing these people's lives is so worth the time it takes to share a Facebook post.

Just imagine the difference we could make.
Just imagine if we could build Ubuntu Goods into a well-known business with ZERO advertising budget by giving back to charity? What an accomplishment that would be! And then imagine, if other businesses start following suit...we'd no longer be giving money to big corporations like Facebook, and instead sharing it with those that need it most.

What can you do?
I am so excited about the potential for success with our new endeavor and I hope you are too! If you would like to support it, please share this Facebook Post or re-post this Instagram post. Or forward this email to friends and family and encourage them to subscribe. Each new subscriber provides 1 meal for an American family facing hunger. It doesn't cost you a thing, just a few minutes of your time. And you (or they)
could win a free pair of earrings every week!
